Position Summary:
The Safety Coordinator ensures a safe and compliant work environment in the food manufacturing plant by implementing safety policies, conducting training, and monitoring safety performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and enforce safety policies in compliance with OSHA, FDA, and local regulations.
Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and investigations.
Lead safety training and ensure staff compliance with safety procedures.
Track and report safety metrics, incidents, and near misses.
Maintain safety equipment and oversee emergency response plans.
Promote a safety-first culture and collaborate with teams to improve safety standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; degree and/or certification in Occupational Health and Safety preferred.
2+ years of safety experience, ideally in manufacturing or food production.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and food safety protocols.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
